Objective: To compare the safety and effectiveness in improving function and reducing pain of autologous PRP to corticosteroid (CS) zygapophyseal (Z-joint) intra-articular (IA) injections at six months for patients with chronic osteoarthritis Z-joint mediated low back pain (LBP).
Design: Prospective triple-blinded multicentric randomized controlled trial.
Methods: Fifty participants with radiological signs of Z-joint OA and chronic Z-joint mediated LBP confirmed by a ≥80 % pain improvement after two IA local anesthetic injections were randomized into PRP and CS groups, using a 1:1 ratio.

Background: Hetrombopag is a novel thrombopoietin receptor agonist that has shown an additive effect in stimulating platelet production when combined with recombinant human thrombopoietin (rhTPO). But it remains unclear whether this combination can promote hematopoietic reconstruction after autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT).
Purpose: To compare the effect of recombinant human thrombopoietin (rhTPO) plus thrombopoietin receptor agonists (TPO-RA) versus rhTPO alone on hematopoietic recovery, adverse events, post-operative complications, and cost effectiveness in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) undergoing autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT).

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to compare the growth factor concentrations in undiluted autologous platelet-rich plasma (APRP) and autologous serum (AS) eye drops.
Methods: This was a single-center, prospective trial conducted in a tertiary university hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. Ninety-six patients with moderate-to-severe dry eye disease, who were randomly assigned to receive either 100% APRP or 100% AS, were enrolled in the study.

Platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFR-α) activity is crucial in the process of dental and periodontal mesenchyme regeneration facilitated by autologous platelet concentrates (APCs), such as platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and concentrated growth factors (CGF), as well as by recombinant PDGF drugs. However, it is largely unclear about the physiological patterns and cellular fate determinations of PDGFR-α cells in the homeostasis maintaining of adult dental and periodontal mesenchyme. We previously identified NFATc1 expressing PDGFR-α cells as a subtype of skeletal stem cells (SSCs) in limb bone in mice, but their roles in dental and periodontal remain unexplored.

Incorporating autologous patient-derived products has become imperative to enhance the continually improving outcomes in bone tissue engineering. With this objective in mind, this study aimed to evaluate the osteogenic potential of 3D-printed allograft-alginate-gelatin scaffolds coated with stromal vascular fraction (SVF) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). The primary goal was to develop a tissue-engineered construct capable of facilitating efficient bone regeneration through the utilization of biomaterials with advantageous properties and patient-derived products.
