Purpose: To investigate changes in accommodation amplitude (AA) after strabismus surgery.
Methods: The medical records of patients who underwent full-tendon tenotomy on at least one rectus muscle between January 2023 and July 2023 were reviewed retrospectively. AA was evaluated objectively and monocularly with the autorefractometry (Tonoref III, ARK-1a, NIDEK Co Ltd, Gamagori, Japan).

Objective: Adults who undergo strabismus surgery, in addition to cosmesis, could benefit from improved stereopsis. This improvement is associated with the performance of motor skill tasks in young adults; they reduce the risk of tripping or falling during everyday locomotion and improve reading efficiency. This study aimed to assess stereopsis level after strabismus surgery in adults who underwent strabismus surgery for any reason.

Integration of information over the CNS is an important neural process that affects our ability to perceive and react to the environment. The visual system is required to continuously integrate information arriving from two different sources (the eyes) to create a coherent percept with high spatiotemporal precision. Although this neural integration of information is assumed to be critical for visual performance, it can be impaired under some pathological or developmental conditions.

To investigate the effects of ocular torsion on horizontal motor fusion and stereopsis in normal adults and to probe the effects of torsion on peripheral fusion, macular fusion and foveal fusion. Twenty-five normal adults aged 30-38 were enrolled in this study. During the synoptophore assessment, the break points (BP) and recovery points (RP) of convergent fusion (CF) and divergent fusion (DF) and random-dots stereopsis were measured and analyzed at intorsion and extorsion of 3°, 5°, 7°, and 9°.
