Bilateral renal agenesis or Potter's Syndrome is an extremely rare congenital anomaly associated with oligohydramnios. The infants die off pulmonary hypoplasia. We herewith report five cases of Potter's Syndrome over a span of one year.

Background: Increasing age is the greatest risk factor for age-associated cognitive decline (AACD) and, especially in females, for developing Alzheimer's disease (AD). Mechanisms underlying this connection are unknown, but neuronal loss and brain atrophy accompany aging and AD and likely contribute to cognitive deficits. There are currently no means to measure neuronal cell death during life and no means to prevent it.

Solitary fibrous tumours (SFTs) are rare soft tissue masses that are often clinically silent until they cause mass effect. A paraneoplastic syndrome manifesting as persistent hypoglycaemia, termed Doege-Potter syndrome (DPS), can be associated with these lesions. Surgical treatment is recommended for the management of these tumours.

Marfan syndrome (MFS) is a systemic connective tissue disorder stemming from mutations in the gene encoding Fibrillin-1 (Fbn1), a key extracellular matrix glycoprotein. This condition manifests with various clinical features, the most critical of which is the formation of aortic root aneurysms. Reduced nitric oxide (NO) production due to diminished endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) activity has been linked to MFS aortic aneurysm pathology.
