Synthetic insecticides have been widely used for the prevention and control of disease vectors and agricultural pests. However, frequent uses of insecticides have resulted in the development of insecticide resistance in these insect pests. The resistance adversely affects the efficacy of insecticides, and seriously reduces the lifespan of insecticides.

Estrogen promotes lupus in human and mouse models of SLE. In this study, we conducted an in vivo study to investigate the relationship between two estrogen receptors (ERα and ERβ) and platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase (PAF-AH) on the symptoms of SLE.

Deep learning tools applied to high-resolution neurophysiological data have significantly progressed, offering enhanced decoding, real-time processing, and readability for practical applications. However, the design of artificial neural networks to analyze neural activity in vivo remains a challenge, requiring a delicate balance between efficiency in low-data regimes and the interpretability of the results. Approach: To address this challenge, we introduce a novel specialized transformer architecture to analyze single-neuron spiking activity.

A series of aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) with donor-π-acceptor (D-π-A) architecture were rationally designed and synthesized through π-bridge engineering for dual-modal photodynamic and photothermal therapy. The AIEgens (TPT, TFT, and TTT) were constructed using methoxy-substituted tetraphenylene as the electron donor and tricyanofuran as the electron acceptor, connected via different π-bridges (phenyl, furan, or thiophene). These compounds exhibited red-shifted absorption (460-545 nm) and emission (712-720 nm) with remarkable aggregation-induced emission characteristics.

The immunoglobulin E (IgE) receptor FcεRI (Fc epsilon RI) plays a crucial role in allergic reactions. Recent studies have indicated that the interaction between FcεRIβ and the downstream protein phospholipase C beta 3 (PLCβ3) leads to the production of inflammatory cytokines. The aim of this study was to develop small molecules that inhibit the protein-protein interactions between FcεRIβ and PLCβ3 to treat allergic inflammation.
