Pharmacists in emergency departments (EDs) can alleviate physicians' workload by handling medication-related tasks and offer valuable contributions in interprofessional teams. We aimed to explore physicians' experiences working with pharmacists in EDs, and their perspectives on future permanent collaboration. Purpose: Despite robust quality improvement efforts in healthcare, learning from patient safety incidents remains difficult. Our study explores counter-vailing powers shaping learning processes and possibilities in healthcare organizations, with a focus on social, political and organizational dynamics of learning.
Design/methodology/approach: Deploying concepts of situated curriculum, boundary work and interconnected knowledge practices, we interviewed staff and physicians ( = 15) in a large Academic Health Science Centre in Canada about their experiences of incident investigations and resultant information sharing.

This study aims to elucidate current trends in clinical practice for managing depression in elderly patients, focusing on the utilization of pharmacotherapeutics and integrated care models to improve patient outcomes. A comprehensive survey was conducted among physicians from various European countries to gather insights into prescribing habits, treatment patterns, and the impact of comorbidities on therapeutic choices, with a focus on trazodone. The participants included psychiatrists, general practitioners, and neurologists actively involved in elderly depression care.

Remote monitoring, now an integral component of patient care, places considerable administrative burdens on clinicians and staff, in large part due to the challenge of integrating these data seamlessly into electronic health records. Since 2006, the Heart Rhythm Society, in collaboration with the CIED industry, has led an initiative to establish a unified standard nomenclature.
