Boron, a crucial element for plant growth, has been demonstrated to mitigate cadmium (Cd) absorption in rice seedlings. However, its impact on Cd accumulation in rice grains and the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain poorly understood. The current study explored the roles of boron in reducing Cd accumulation and promoting ripening in rice through pot and hydroponic experiments.

Objective: The current study compared symptom networks between individuals exhibiting resilience and non-resilience trajectories of adaptation two years after the COVID-19 outbreak.
Method: A population-representative sample (N = 906) reported symptoms of anxiety and depression in February-July 2020 (T1), March-August 2021 (T2), and September 2021-February 2022 (T3), as well as symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and adjustment disorder (AD) at T3. After differentiating between individuals with resilience and non-resilience trajectories using growth mixture modeling, network analyses were conducted to investigate group differences in T3 network symptoms (undirected and directed).

The GlnE enzyme, functioning as an adenylyltransferase/adenylyl-removing enzyme, plays a crucial role in reversible adenylylation of glutamine synthetase (GS), which in turn regulates bacterial nitrogen assimilation. Genomic analysis of Azorhizobium caulinodans ORS571 revealed an open reading frame encoding a GlnE protein, whose function in the free-living and symbiotic states remains to be elucidated. A glnE deletion mutant retained high GS activity even under nitrogen-rich conditions.
