Purpose: Uncovering the racial/ethnic health disparities that exist within cardiovascular medicine offers potential to mitigate treatment gaps that might affect outcomes. Socioeconomic status (SES) may be a more appropriate underlying factor to assess these disparities. We aimed to evaluate whether adherence, attendance, and outcomes in cardiac rehabilitation are associated with SES in a safety net hospital.

Background: The Cardiovascular risk factors, aging, and dementia (CAIDE) risk score is a validated tool estimating dementia risk. We investigated the association of CAIDE score with 12 markers of glucose and lipid metabolism, in the Finnish Geriatric Intervention Study to Prevent Cognitive Impairment and Disability (FINGER) participants.
Methods: The FINGER trial had 1260 participants, aged 60-77 years, with a CAIDE score ≥6, without substantial cognitive impairment.

First evidence suggests beneficial effects of multidomain lifestyle interventions on dementia risk scores. We investigated effects of the multidomain AgeWell.

Background: Due to declining birthrate and increasing longevity, the number of older people living alone with cognitive impairment is rapidly increasing in Japan. They have a lot of challenges in terms of health, housing, finance, daily life and protection of rights, all of which should be clarified to create inclusive, equitable, and sustainable super-aged societies.
Methods: A series of factual investigation was conducted using existing statical materials, community-based epidemiological studies, clinic-based case studies, and literature reviews.
Background: Prior research on immigration and cognitive functioning was limited with conflicting findings. This study seeks to understand the association between immigration status and cognitive function in a representative sample of the US population and examine physical activity and nutritional intake's interaction with immigration status.
Method: The study cohort included 2,898 participants (673 immigrants and 2225 non-immigrants) from US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2011-2014 who underwent at least one cognitive function test.
