A novel double-antigen sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed to measure rabies antibodies in dogs. In contrast to the 4 days required for detecting rabies antibody with conventional rabies antibody virus neutralization assays, this ELISA can be completed in hours, without using live virus, in routine laboratories.

Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever orthonairovirus (CCHFV) and Dugbe orthonairovirus (DUGV) are zoonotic viruses transmitted by ticks. Whereas CCHFV has caused numerous human cases, DUGV, although less reported, shares ticks and ruminants as hosts. Since its first discovery in Nigeria in 1964, there has been no detailed sero-epidemiological investigation on DUGV in sub-Saharan Africa.

African swine fever (ASF), caused by ASF virus (ASFV), is a highly infectious and severe hemorrhagic disease of pigs that causes major economic losses. Currently, no commercial vaccine is available and prevention and control of ASF relies mainly on early diagnosis. Here, a novel automated double antigen sandwich chemiluminescent immunoassay (DAgS-aCLIA) was developed to detect antibodies against ASFV p72 (p72-Ab).

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a double antigen sandwich ELISA (DAgS-ELISA) method for more efficient, accurate, and quantitative detection of total antibodies against Candida albicans enolase1 (CaEno1) for diagnosing invasive candidiasis (IC).
Methods: DAgS-ELISA was developed using recombinant CaEno1 and a monoclonal antibody as the standard. Performance evaluation included limit of detection, accuracy, and repeatability.

African swine fever (ASF), caused by ASF virus (ASFV), is a highly contagious and lethal disease of domestic pigs leading to tremendous economic losses. As there are no vaccines and drugs available. An effective diagnosis to eliminate ASFV-infected pigs is a crucial strategy to prevent and control ASF.
