[The dentate line distance as a diagnostics criterion of the diaphragm hiatal hernia]. | LitMetric

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy is one of the most optimum study methods to diagnose the diaphragm hiatal hernia (DHH). The decrease in the distance between incisors and dentate line is a commonly accepted DHH criteria. The work objective was to study whether it is possible to use the criterion. The specificity and sensibility of this diagnostics method was studied. The complex of seven diagnostics OMED-recommended criteria was used as the gold standard. It was shown that the criterion under examination has insufficient diagnostics characteristics.
