Methods of hemostasis in injury and focal lesions of the spleen were studied in experiments and applied in clinical practice. Technique of spleen resection, suturing of cut and perforating wounds is described. Autotransplantation of spleen tissue was used as alternative to splenectomy. In cases of small focal lesions (cysts, abscesses) minimally invasive methods of treatment were preferred.
