Taverna is an application that eases the use and integration of the growing number of molecular biology tools and databases available on the web, especially web services. It allows bioinformaticians to construct workflows or pipelines of services to perform a range of different analyses, such as sequence analysis and genome annotation. These high-level workflows can integrate many different resources into a single analysis. Taverna is available freely under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) from http://taverna.sourceforge.net/.

Left ventricular (LV) global longitudinal strain (GLS) has recently garnered attention as a reliable and objective method for evaluating LV systolic function. One of the key advantages of GLS is its ability to detect subtle abnormalities even when the ejection fraction (EF) appears to be preserved. However, it is important to note that GLS, much like LVEF, is significantly influenced by load conditions.

(1) Background: Computed tomography (CT) plays a paramount role in the characterization and follow-up of COVID-19. Several score systems have been implemented to properly assess the lung parenchyma involved in patients suffering from SARS-CoV-2 infection, such as the visual quantitative assessment score (VQAS) and software-based quantitative assessment score (SBQAS) to help in managing patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection. This study aims to investigate and compare the diagnostic accuracy of the VQAS and SBQAS with two different types of software based on artificial intelligence (AI) in patients affected by SARS-CoV-2.

Background: The Satisfaction with Simulation Experience scale is a 5-point Likert scale that measures students' satisfaction in medium and high-fidelity simulation scenarios. This study aims at investigating the psychometric properties of the Satisfaction with Simulation Experience - Italian Version scale.

Methods: A multi-centre cross-sectional study was conducted.

P-element-induced wimpy testis (PIWI)-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) are a new class of small noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) that bind components of the PIWI protein family. piRNAs are specifically expressed in different human tissues and regulate important signaling pathways. Aberrant expressions of piRNAs and PIWI proteins have been associated with tumorigenesis and cancer progression.

This study reports the development of a Taylor Dispersion Analysis (TDA) method for the size characterization of Extracellular Vesicles (EVs), which are highly heterogeneous nanoscale cell-derived vesicles (30-1000 nm). Here, we showed that TDA, conducted in uncoated fused silica capillaries (50 µm i.d.
