The association of occipital encephalocele, cleft palate, postaxial polydactyly, polycystic kidneys, and hepatic cysts is well known as Meckel-Gruber syndrome (MGS). Nowadays, the diagnosis of MGS is usually performed prenatally by ultrasound findings. MGS was previously described following in vitro fertilization. We report a case of MGS diagnosed at 17 weeks in a pregnancy obtained with intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

Goldston syndrome (GS) is an extremely rare syndrome involving the central nervous system and kidneys. It is believed to have a familial association and an autosomal recessive inheritance and is characterized by the concomitant occurrence of cystic dysplastic kidneys and Dandy-Walker malformation. We report a case of antenatally detected GS at 22 weeks of gestation in a female with a consanguineous marriage.

Ciliopathies are a diverse group of disorders resulting from abnormalities in the development or function of multiple organs. While significant research has clarified the role of the primary cilium in transducing numerous signalling pathways, elucidating causes of neuronal and skeletal development disorders, the origins of other ciliopathy-related conditions, such as hepatic fibrocystic diseases, remain elusive. Additionally, attempts to correlate specific ciliary proteins with distinct phenotypes have been largely unsuccessful due to the variable and overlapping symptoms of ciliopathies.

Meckel-Gruber syndrome (MGS) is a rare disease with a fatal, autosomal recessive inheritance pattern. This article mentions the neonatal MGS case followed by intestinal atresia and meconium pseudocyst clinic. Bile-containing-fluid was aspirated from the fetus, which was found to have polyhydramnios, gastric dilatation, lung hypoplasia, and cystic formation with a diameter of 68*62mm in the abdomen at 32 weeks of gestation in the intrauterine period.
