Background: Kidney depth significantly affects the accuracy of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measurement, and hydronephrosis-induced morphological changes further challenge its estimation through traditional formulas. This study evaluated the rotation method's efficacy in correcting kidney depth and depth difference during Tc-99m diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) renal dynamic imaging for GFR assessment.
Methods: This study analyzed 66 individuals treated at First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University with unilateral hydronephrosis between January 2022 and June 2023.

Background: We assessed the accuracy of different GFR estimating equations in kidney transplant recipients across diverse racial backgrounds, addressing the previously identified validation gap in multiethnic populations predominantly studied in White cohorts.
Methods: In this single-center study, eGFR was compared to the measured GFR (mGFR) one year following kidney transplantation.
Results: The 1-year eGFR and mGFR data from 1145 participants (54% Whites, 23% Hispanics, 9% Blacks, 7% Native Americans, and 6% Asians) revealed varied correlations across racial groups.

Background: Cefoperazone/sulbactam (CPZ/SAM) is an important treatment option for infections caused by multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacteria. However, it is associated with an increased risk of coagulation disorders (CD) and causes severe bleeding in some instances. Background: A number of UK transplantation centres use isotope studies to estimate the relative contribution from each kidney in living kidney donor assessment. The evidence that the estimation of pre-donation split function of the non-donated kidney influences post-donation renal recovery is limited. The aim of this study was to analyse whether, in the context of other donor factors, the split function of the non-donated kidney predicts the percentage recovery of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) at one-year post-donation.
