A novel 1-3-2 type piezoelectric composite is developed. There are piezoelectric ceramic framework supports at transverse and longitudinal directions in its structure, so it is free from the influence of any outside mechanic impact and environmental temperature change. The sample characteristic is good coherence. It has many advantages, such as a high piezoelectricity, lower density and acoustic impedance matching with water and tissue easily. Based on Newnham's series and parallel theory of composites, the calculation formulae of dielectric and piezoelectric constants of a 1-3-2 type piezoelectric composite are deduced. The sample's characteristics indicate that a 1-3-2 type piezoelectric composite's theoretic calculation values are in good agreement with the measurement results. Element samples have been designed, manufactured and measured. The results indicate that the resonant frequency, resonant impedance, piezoelectricity and static capacity of these samples are stable. It is easy to design sensor array elements using this material.

Background: This study aims to investigate the prevalence and morphology of middle mesial canal (MMC) in mandibular first molar (M1M) among a Northwestern Chinese population, and to analyze their relationship with anatomical aspects of the mesial root.
Methods: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was utilized to evaluate 898 M1Ms and assess the incidence and morphology of MMC. The following parameters for M1M with or without MMC were obtained: the vertical distance between the first appearance of MMC and canal orifices (D), the distance between mesiobuccal (MB) and mesiolingual (ML) canals (D1), the buccolingual width(L1) and mesiodistal width (L2) of mesial roots, and the flatness degree(L1/L2) of mesial roots.

Methods: A prospective cohort of 288 patients underwent 2 VCTE exams at least 2 years apart, and the relative percentage changes in LSM and CAP were calculated. Outcomes were the occurrence of any liver-related events (LREs), cardiovascular events (CVEs), and all-cause mortality.

A series of high-entropy pyrochlore ceramics, specifically (LaNd)(ZnSn)O ( = Sm, Eu, Gd, or Dy), have been synthesized using the solid-state reaction method. Their potential as high-temperature thermistors was investigated by analyzing electrical and aging properties at elevated temperatures. Characterization using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy confirms that these ceramics are dense, single-phase solid solutions with a pyrochlore structure.
