A 79-year-old woman presented with a systolic murmur and dyspnea on exertion. Transthoracic echocardiography and multidetector-row computed tomography revealed a giant aneurysm in an abnormal vessel known as Vieussens' arterial ring (VAR). A pulmonary artery VAR fistula was also observed.

Gossypiboma is a condition that occurs as a result of leaving sterile gauze, surgical sponges, or similar materials inadvertently retained in the body following surgery. The most common localization of gossypibomas is the intraabdominal cavity. Patients with gossypiboma can remain asymptomatic for years.

Case Presentation: The patient was an 80-year-old man who had undergone Bacillus Calmette-Guérin immunotherapy for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. Two months later, he developed an irregular pelvic mass surrounding the prostate and rectum with no fever.

The standard treatment for chronic osteomyelitis after trauma is affected bone resection and bone and soft tissue defect reconstruction. However, few reports exist regarding chronic osteomyelitis after bone tumor surgery. We retrospectively reviewed five cases of chronic infection after bone tumor surgery, including their treatment strategy and clinical course.
