Acetone and n-pentane from an azeotrope with the mole ratio of 1:3, respectively. As the result of this azeotrope formation, some characteristic vibrational modes in FT-IR and chemical shifts in 1H NMR changes. The amount of these band and signal changes is an indication of the extend of interaction between two components and their orientation in unit structure of the cluster. FT-IR and 1H NMR spectra of pure substances and their azeotrope were recorded, spectral changes analyzed. Unit structure of azeotrope was deduced based on mole ratio, boiling point changes of pure components, and spectral changes in fundamental frequency and chemical shifts.

Aims: Limited studies have been conducted on juvenile conjunctival nevus (JCN) in Asian populations. This study aims to investigate the clinical and pathologic characteristics of JCN cases among the Han ethnicity in northwest China, providing insights for pathologists and ophthalmologists in diagnosing this condition.

Methods: A subset of conjunctival nevi in children and adolescents, characterized by a confluent growth pattern and lack of maturation, was identified and defined as JCN.

Intestinal injury and microbiota disorder take part in the development of UC. In this research, we obtained an arabinogalactan (LBP-m) from Lycium barbarum and firstly characterized its physicochemical properties. LBP-m was a homogeneous polysaccharide (172 kDa) consisted of Ara, Gal, Glc, GalA, and GlcA with a mole ratio of 1.

In this research, a green approach utilizing deep eutectic solvent liquid-liquid microextraction is combined with smartphone digital image colorimetry for the determination of boron in nut samples. A smartphone camera was used to capture the image of the analyte extract located in a custom-made colorimetric box. Using ImageJ software, the images were split into RGB channels, with the green channel identified as the optimum.

We performed all-atom and coarse-grained simulations of lipid bilayer mixtures of the unsaturated lipid DOPC, with saturated lipids having the same 18-carbon acyl tails and different headgroups, to understand their mechanical properties. The secondary lipids were DSPG, DSPA, DSPS, DSPC, and DSPE. The DOPC:DSPG system with 65:35 molar ratio was the softest, with area compressibility modulus ∼ 22% smaller than the pure DOPC value.

Herein, we present an efficient approach for developing electrochemical aptasensing interfaces, by "click" postfunctionalization of phenylethynyl-grafted glassy carbon substrates with mixed monolayers containing biorecognition elements and phosphorylcholine zwitterionic groups. Typically, controlling the composition of multicomponent surface layers by grafting from a mixture of aryldiazonium salts is challenging due to differences in their chemical reactivity. Our approach circumvents this issue by employing the electrochemical reduction of a single aryldiazonium salt containing a silyl-protected alkyne group followed by deprotection, to create phenylethynyl monolayers which can subsequently accommodate the concurrent immobilization of bioreceptors and zwitterionic groups through "click" postfunctionalization.
