Integrated information systems for managing patient data transform the nature of hospital work to the extent that the work practices, the responsibilities, even the professional identities are likely to undergo major changes. Therefore, during the organizational implementation of the IS, attention should be paid to the future users and how they understand and see what is going on. Here the focus is on these interpretation processes, analyzed as technological frames. That is, people develop different assumptions, expectations and knowledge concerning new technology. During this sense-making process they build their idea of that technology, its technological frame. We analyzed the pre-implementation frames that could be discerned in 24 interviews of hospital personnel. Main influences on the frames in this case were the work role in the organization, knowledge about the new system, and attitudes toward the old systems. The social context appeared to have a significant influence in the users' interpretation processes and the frames seemed to be congruent within one group. So far, the incongruence between groups appeared to have caused no major problems for the implementation.

However, traditional methods for human brain specimen collection, including retrospective archival tissues, have not been optimized for these latest methods. A modernized approach that optimizes tissue quality, anatomical precision, and comprehensive, quantitative neuropathological assessments is needed to maximize the impact of the tremendous investment and remarkable technological advances in human neuroscience research.

The paper presents the original results of cyclic testing of materials that are identical in chemical composition but produced by two different technologies: conventional metallurgy and additive manufacturing. For the aluminium alloy AlSi10Mg and the austenitic steel 316L, tensile curves, tension-compression and torsion alternating fatigue curves are experimentally obtained and presented. The experimental results are compared for two fabrication technologies-conventional metallurgy and additive DLMS technology.

Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is a major cause of acute and chronic hepatitis in humans. The HEV open reading frames (ORF1) encodes a large non-structural protein essential for viral replication, which contains several functional domains, including helicase and RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. A confusing aspect is that, while RNA viruses typically encode large polyproteins that rely on their enzymatic activity for processing into functional units, the processing of the ORF1 protein and the mechanisms involved remain unclear.
