We have experienced a patient with tumor fever from hormone-refractory prostate cancer (HRPC) who was treated successfully using docetaxel plus prednisolone therapy. A 65-year-old male was diagnosed with prostate cancer (T4 N1 M1b). He received androgen-ablation therapy. But six months later he was confirmed to show failure of the previous hormone therapy and disease progression even after anti-androgen withdrawal. Then docetaxel plus prednisolone therapy was started. After two courses of this therapy, the PSA level decreased by 50% or more, and after ten courses an improvement was seen on the bone scan. The patient has survived for twelve months after starting docetaxel plus prednisolone therapy, without serious adverse events.

Background: Talazoparib plus enzalutamide (TALA + ENZA) has demonstrated antitumor activity in the phase 3 clinical trial (TALAPRO-2; NCT03395197) as first-line (1L) therapy in men with asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Although many active interventions are available, randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving talazoparib have only been conducted to assess its efficacy and safety compared to enzalutamide. To estimate comparisons between all relevant interventions, indirect comparisons are needed.

Prostate cancer antigen-1/ALKBH3, a DNA/RNA demethylase of 3-methylcytosine, 1-methyladenine (1-meA), and 6-meA, was found in prostate cancer as an important prognostic factor. Additionally, 1-meA has been associated with other cancers. The ALKBH3 inhibitor HUHS015 was found to be effective against prostate cancer both in vitro and in vivo .

Cushing's syndrome (CS), as a result of ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) production, constitutes a common paraneoplastic manifestation of various malignancies, with the most common being small cell lung carcinoma. In the literature, fewer than fifty cases associating ectopic CS with prostate cancer have been documented. In the present study, the case of a 76-year old man suffering from castration-resistant prostate adenocarcinoma that had been treated with enzalutamide and luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analogue for the last four years is presented.
