Placement of a laparoscopic adjustable gastric band (LAGB) is a procedure used in bariatric surgery. Despite its decrease in popularity due to its high reoperation rate and suboptimal clinical response, managing the complications of LAGBs remains an important component of general and bariatric surgeons' work. Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD) is a rare, self-limiting condition typically characterized by fever and lymphadenopathy. The exact etiology remains unclear but is suspected to be associated with viral infections and autoimmune responses. This report presents the case of a 32-year-old Chinese male who was admitted with recurrent high fever, lymphadenopathy, and hepatosplenomegaly.

Background: Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in neonates (MIS-N) is a rare condition thought to be associated with prenatal exposure to maternal severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection. This immune-mediated hyperinflammation has been described in neonates with multiorgan dysfunction, including cardiopulmonary, encephalopathy, coagulopathy, and vascular complications. However, renovascular complications in MIS-N are rare.
