For a long time sporotrichosis has been regarded to have a low incidence in Brazil; however, recent studies demonstrate that not only the number of reported cases but also the incidence of more severe or atypical clinical forms of the disease are increasing. Recent data indicate that these more severe forms occur in about 10% of patients with confirmed diagnosis. The less frequent forms, mainly osteoarticular sporotrichosis, might be associated both with patient immunodepression and zoonotic transmission of the disease. The extracutaneous form and the atypical forms are a challenge to a newly developed serological test, introduced as an auxiliary tool for the diagnosis of unusual clinical forms of sporotrichosis.

In 2020, the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES) published recommendations for ordering HIV serology testing for patients with certain health conditions, and in 2021 SEMES launched the "Leave Your Mark" (Deja tu Huella - DTH) program to facilitate implementing the recommendations during emergency care.

Whereas uncomplicated pulmonary hydatid cysts are easily diagnosed on radiological findings, complicated and atypical forms may be misdiagnosed and confused with other pulmonary lesions, mainly lung malignancies. Dentin hypersensitivity is primarily caused by the exposure of dentinal tubules due to various factors, so the key to treatment is to effectively seal these exposed tubules. However, traditional dentinal tubule sealants used in clinical practice often fail to adhere securely to the tubule surface when exposed to external stimuli, resulting in a recurrence of sensitivity. In this study, we developed a silicon micromotor that moved autonomously and loaded with silver nanoparticles and a photosensitive adhesive for dentin sensitivity therapy.

Background: Currently, there is limited scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of fluorescent cholangiography in emergency cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis. The primary aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of near-infrared fluorescent cholangiography (NIRF-C) in different severity degrees of acute cholecystitis.
Materials And Methods: Inclusion criteria were patients with a clinical and radiological (abdominal ultrasound and/or computed tomography) diagnosis of acute cholecystitis based on the revised 2018 Tokyo guidelines who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy within 24-72 h from the onset of symptoms and patients with ASA score of 0-3.
