Coastal deoxygenation poses a critical threat to tropical coral reefs. Dissolved oxygen (DO) depletion can cause hypoxia-induced stress and mortality for scleractinian corals. Coral hypoxic responses are species-specific and likely modulated by the duration and severity of low-DO conditions, although the physiological mechanisms driving hypoxia tolerance are not fully understood.

Purpose: Intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury (IIRI) occurs as a result of temporary blood flow interruption, leading to tissue damage upon reperfusion. Oxidative stress plays a critical role in this process, instigating inflammation and cell death. Identifying and characterizing genes associated with the oxidative stress response can offer valuable insights into potential therapeutic targets for managing IIRI.

In situ vaccine (ISV) can activate the anti-tumor immune system by inducing immunogenic cell death (ICD) at the tumor site. However, the development of tumor ISV still faces challenges due to insufficient tumor antigens released by tumor cells and the existence of tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment (TIME). Targeting the STING pathway has been reported to enhance the adjuvant effects of in situ tumor vaccines by initiating innate immunity.

Background: Previous studies reported significant relationships between obesity and pulmonary dysfunction. Here, we investigated genetic alterations in the lung tissues of high fat diet (HFD) induced obese mouse through transcriptomic and molecular analyses.
Methods: Eight-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were fed either a normal chow diet (NCD) or HFD for 12 weeks.

Currently, hormonal therapy for endometriosis faces challenges in achieving a balance between treatment and preserving the chance of pregnancy. Therefore, the development of non-hormonal therapy holds significant clinical importance. Angiogenesis is a hallmark of endometriosis, and anti-angiogenic therapies targeting the hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) pathway are considered potential approaches for endometriosis.
