Malignancy is the most common cause of tracheoesophageal fistulas. The malignancies commonly implicated in the development of tracheoesophageal fistulas are primary bronchial or esophageal carcinomas. Hodgkins disease rarely leads to such a fistula. We report a case of Hodgkin's disease with a tracheoesophageal fistula as well as a left recurrent nerve palsy at presentation. This presentation has no precedent in literature. The patient was treated with systemic chemotherapy and involved field radiotherapy. On follow up 1 year after the completion of treatment, he was clinically and radiologically disease free.

Background: Prior studies of participants with breast and other obesity-associated cancers in the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) showed worse mortality and cardiovascular disease (CVD) outcomes for individuals with a higher number of cardiometabolic risk factors at study entry. The purpose of this analysis is to compare the relationship between cardiometabolic abnormalities and mortality among women with and without cancer in the WHI.
Methods: Women with one of five early-stage obesity-associated cancers (breast, colorectal, endometrial, ovarian, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma) and controls without any new or prior history of cancer were selected from the WHI-Life and Longevity after Cancer ancillary study.

BACKGROUND Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is a low-grade B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Autoimmune (Hashimoto's) thyroiditis is associated with thyroid MALT lymphoma, but co-existence with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) has been less commonly reported. In this case report, we describe a 58-year-old man who presented with a 6-month history of hoarseness and an enlarged thyroid, and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, MALT lymphoma, and PTC.
