Objective: To explore the effects of mandibular implant junction on the growth of immature bone.
Methods: Eight Beagle dogs were randomly divided into three groups: control, unjunction and junction. Twelve implants were produced on the mandible of unjunction experimental group and junction experimental group. At three months after implanting, radiographic examination was performed.
Results: Three months after implanting, all implants were integrated with bone. None implants was mobile or got off. Radiographic examination demonstrated that the bone lose difference was no significant in junction and unjunction group.
Conclusion: Mandibular implant connection wasn't effect on the growth of bone.

Bacterial infection in bone tissue engineering is a severe clinical issue. Traditional antimicrobial methods usually cause problems such as bacterial resistance and biosecurity. Employing semiconductor photocatalytic antibacterial materials is a more controlled and safer strategy, wherein semiconductor photocatalytic materials generate reactive oxygen species under illumination for killing bacteria by destroying their cell membranes, proteins, DNA, In this review, P-type and N-type semiconductor photocatalytic materials and their antibacterial mechanisms are introduced.

Introduction: Despite of numerous studies of the placenta, some molecular and cellular characteristics, particularly the relationship among different cell types, have not been well understood. We aim to investigate the basic and intricate details of cellular and molecular elements in early and late phase placentas to gain better understanding of the immune regulation of human reproductive process.
Methods: A novel combination of techniques of spatial transcriptomics(ST), multiple immunohistochemistry, and a dual labeling combining immunohistochemistry and (fluorescence in situ hybridization) FISH on normal and ectopic pregnancy and animal models was employed to investigate the placenta at tissue, cell, protein and molecular levels and to trace the fetal and maternal origin of every cell in early and late placentas.

Background: There is no consensus on the association between final local kyphosis and residual back pain (RBP) after traumatic vertebral fracture. The aim of this study was to investigate whether there is an association between the final local kyphosis angle and RBP in patients with traumatic vertebral fractures at the thoracolumbar junction who underwent single posterior surgery with percutaneous pedicle screws and implant removal after fracture healing. A second goal was to determine the optimal cut-off value for the final local kyphosis angle with and without RBP.

Background: Atrial infarction is a complication of myocardial infarction with ventricular infarction; however, isolated atrial infarction (IAI) has rarely been reported. Herein, we report a case of IAI associated with sick sinus syndrome and atrial fibrillation (AF).
Case Summary: An 83-year-old woman was brought to the emergency department with a complaint of general malaise.
