Article Abstract

Acupuncture increased the hypothermic effect of aminazin in rabbits with a fever induced by pyrogenal (i.v. administration, 2 micrograms/kg). The acupuncture points "Shaoshang" (Lu. II) and "Shangyang" (Li. I) were used. Aminazin (0.5 mg/kg) exerted a little antipyretic effect whereas when combined with the acupuncture, its effect became potentiated and longer lasting.
