Consumers are driving outcomes in healthcare. In children's hospitals, the consumers are the parents and the patients. This article describes the process undertaken to respond to parents' requests to be present during the induction of anesthesia in their child. The process of changing long-standing practices in a complex organization undergoing major change in becoming a children's hospital is described in detail.

Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a heterogeneous neurobiological condition characterized by behavioral problems and delayed neurodevelopment. Although transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has been proposed as an alternative treatment for patients with ASD because of its promising benefits in reducing repetitive behaviors and enhancing executive functions, the use of high-intensity pulses (Hi-TMS) appears to be related to the side effects of the therapy. Low-intensity TMS (Li-TMS) has been partially investigated, but it may have clinical effects on ASD and simultaneously increase treatment safety.

This study explores the impact of children's unsustainable behaviors on parental sustainable actions within family dynamics. Findings reveal that parents exposed to their children's unsustainable behaviors experience heightened family and environmental responsibility, which motivates them to engage in both private-domain and public-domain sustainable behaviors. These effects are amplified in intergenerational caregiving contexts, where parents compensate for reduced caregiving roles by adopting more sustainable practices.
