Decentralized human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a model adopted to improve access to antiretroviral therapy (ART) within communities and mitigate the burden of HIV treatment and care on health care facility. In Ethiopia, these services help HIV clients fully benefit from ART as they are able to access ART within their catchment areas. However, HIV clients still travel out of their catchment areas to commence the ART.

Background/objectives: Patients requiring haemodialysis often perceive the cost of their travels to the dialysis centres as a significant burden. The study aimed to collect a first Swiss national data set on transport costs and assess their impact on patients and their relatives.
Methods: In addition to interviews with patients, a quantitative survey was developed and distributed online using a voluntary sampling strategy.

There is increasing recognition of the need to address the diverse experiences of individuals subjected to medically unnecessary, non-voluntary genital cutting in childhood. This includes children with intersex traits undergoing 'normalisation' surgeries and those with anatomically normative genitalia, such as female genital cutting or male circumcision. While most research on non-therapeutic childhood penile circumcision centres on the physical risks and benefits, far less attention has been given to the potential long-term mental health impacts, particularly from a psychotherapeutic perspective.

Background: The American Society of Clinical Nutrition recommends 37 to 44 h of undergraduate medical nutrition education. The Total Health Curriculum at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM) contains 14 h of objective-based nutritional instruction. This study aimed to examine the perceptions of key stakeholders regarding the role of nutrition in medicine and to identify barriers, opportunities for improvement, and roles/responsibilities for innovative implementation of nutrition education.
