Meckel's diverticulum (MD) is the most common congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract. It usually lies on the antimesenteric side of the ileum, about 60 cm from the ileocecal valve. Histologically, it is a true diverticulum comprising all four layers of the intestinal tract.

Background: In atlantoaxial instabilities, posterior C1/C2 fusion using lateral mass screws (LMS) or pedicle screws (PS) in a mono- or bicortical position in the atlas is a typical treatment. The bone microstructure and positioning of the screw trajectories appear to be of significant relevance for stability.
Purpose: The aim of this study was a comparative analysis of the mechanical durability of screw fixation concerning microstructural characteristics of the trajectories of LMS and PS in mono- and bicortical position.

Introduction: Soft tissue defect in the lower limb presents as a difficult reconstructive challenge. Cross-leg flap was routinely used in the past for the salvage of the lower limb but is seldom used nowadays due to advances in microsurgical procedures.
Case Presentation: We present a case of an 18-year-old male who presented with a complex soft tissue defect of 25 × 10 cm on the anterolateral aspect of the right leg following a motor vehicle accident.

Background: Locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinomas (LA-PDAC) are more frequently operated now than in the past because of new regimen chemotherapy and improvement in surgical technique. Resection of the coeliac trunk (CT) during pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) or total pancreatectomy (TP) is not routinely done owing to the risk of liver and gastric ischaemia. In this video, a patient with LA-PDAC underwent TP with CT resection and retrograde gastric revascularization through the distal splenic artery.

Background: There is no consensus on the association between final local kyphosis and residual back pain (RBP) after traumatic vertebral fracture. The aim of this study was to investigate whether there is an association between the final local kyphosis angle and RBP in patients with traumatic vertebral fractures at the thoracolumbar junction who underwent single posterior surgery with percutaneous pedicle screws and implant removal after fracture healing. A second goal was to determine the optimal cut-off value for the final local kyphosis angle with and without RBP.
