Center of pressure (COP) measures are commonly used as indicators of balance and postural control. At present, there are no universally accepted standards in research investigating fluctuations in the COP with regard to the number of trials or the length of a given trial. The purpose of this study was to use the tools of Generalizability Theory (G-Theory) to investigate the reliability of COP measures of quiet standing and to establish an optimal measurement protocol. G-Theory provides a tool that allows us to break down the sources of variation, or facets, in a measurement procedure and ultimately design a protocol that provides optimal reliability. Fifteen participants completed 10 90-s trials with eyes open and closed. COP measures of anterior-posterior standard deviation (SD(AP)), medial-lateral SD (SD(ML)), average velocity (Vel), and 95% confidence ellipse area (Area) were calculated using the first 30, 60, and 90s of each trial. A G-study and follow-up D-studies were performed to estimate reliability coefficients (G-coefficients). The results of the G-Theory analysis suggest that these COP measures reached acceptable levels of reliability (G>or=0.70) with at least five 60s trials.

Background: We investigated the consistency and accuracy of the Index of Consciousness (IoC) and the Bispectral Index (BIS) in monitoring the sedative effect of ciprofol during the induction of general anesthesia. There is extensive literature that reports good consistency and correlations between the IoC1 and the BIS in reflecting the sedation levels induced by propofol and sevoflurane but not by ciprofol.
Objective: The aim was to compare the consistency and accuracy of the IoC and BIS in monitoring the sedative effect of ciprofol during the induction of general anesthesia.

Background: Teenage pregnancy rates have globally decreased over the years, but remain high, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Among girls aged 15-19, teenage pregnancy remains the leading cause of death and a significant barrier to education and productivity. Its prevalence was high in pakwach district as reported by the DHO and police report during the pandemic.

Aims: We evaluated the national and regional trends from 2013 to 2022, in the prevalence of Perthes' disease among adolescent males in South Korea.
Methods: This retrospective, nationwide, population-based study included a total of 3,166,669 Korean adolescent males examined at regional Military Manpower Administration (MMA) offices over ten years. Data from the MMA were retrospectively collected to measure the national and regional prevalence per 100,000 and 95% CI of Perthes' disease according to the year (1 January 2013 to 31 December 2022) and history of pelvic and/or femoral osteotomy in South Korea.

Methamphetamine use disorder has emerged as a significant public health concern globally. This study endeavors to elucidate the alterations in expression changes of miRNAs in the plasma of methamphetamine use disorder and elucidate the alterations in miRNA expression in the plasma of individuals with methamphetamine use disorder and investigate the relationship between these differentially expressed miRNAs and the disorder itself, cravings for methamphetamine, and associated mental disorders. Furthermore, the study seeks to clarify the expression of downstream target molecules of specific miRNAs in the plasma of methamphetamine use disorder, assess the diagnostic utility of these miRNAs and their target molecules, explore their potential as biomarkers, and identify potential targets for the diagnosis and treatment of methamphetamine use disorder.

Objective: Preschool children are in a period of rapid physical development, and improving their gross motor skills and physical fitness is quite important for their health. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a structured physical training program in improving Chinese preschool children's gross motor development and physical fitness.
Method: A sample of 80 children aged 4 to 5 from Fujian, China, were randomly assigned to the intervention group ( = 41), which received a 15-week structured physical training, while the control group ( = 39) continued with their daily physical activity.
