Published: April 2006

The nonangiogenic lung tumour is characterized by neoplastic cells co-opting the pre-existent vasculature and filling the alveoli space. 3-dimensional reconstruction of the tumour reveals that this particular tumour progresses without neovascularization and there is no major destruction of the lung's architectural integrity.

Purpose: Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor in women with a poor prognosis. This study aimed to investigate angiogenesis subtypes of breast cancer and unveil the etiology and molecular features of breast cancer.

Methods: Based on the angiogenesis gene set derived from AmiGO2, and breast cancer data in the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), we define a novel cluster of angiogenesis subtypes for patients by consensus clustering.

Background: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a disease with distinct management complexities as it displays a remarkably heterogeneous molecular subtype. However, the landscape of angiogenesis for SCC is not fully investigated.

Method And Materials: The angiogenesis-related subtypes of SCC were established by using the ConsensusClusterPlus package based on angiogenesis-related genes and TCGA data.
