For the first time a complex investigation of the Kallikrein-Kinin system of blood has been carried out in 145 patients with appendicular peritonitis and 27 patients with acute noncomplicated destructive appendicitis. The age of the patients was from 11 months up to 14 years. An analysis of the results obtained has shown the level of activation of kininogenesis and type of its reacting to correlate with and to objectively reflect the degree of the pathological process and the patient's state. It is considered to be an informative diagnostic test.
