Biological activities observed in living systems occur as the output of which nanometer-, submicrometer-, and micrometer-sized structures and tissues non-linearly and dynamically behave through chemical reaction networks, including the generation of various molecules and their assembly and disassembly. To understand the essence of the dynamic behavior in living systems, simpler artificial objects that exhibit cell-like non-linear phenomena have been recently constructed. However, most objects exhibiting cell-like dynamics have been found through trial-and-error experiments, and there are no strategies for designing them as molecular systems.

Objectives: Several trial-level surrogate methods have been proposed in the literature. However, often only one method is presented in practice. By plotting trial-level associations between surrogate and final outcomes with prediction intervals and by presenting results from cross-validation procedures, this research demonstrates the value of comparing a range of model predictions.

In this work, a theoretical approach is developed to investigate the structural properties of ionic microgels induced by a circularly polarized (CP) electric field. Following a similar study on chain formation in the presence of linearly polarized fields [T. Colla , , 2018, , 4321-4337], we propose an effective potential between microgels which incorporates the field-induced interactions a static, time averaged polarizing charge at the particle surface.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a crucial coenzyme in cellular metabolism and is implicated in various diseases. This work introduces an electrochemical bioanalytical method utilizing solution-phase formate dehydrogenase (CbFDH) for detecting its oxidized form (NAD) in human blood plasma samples. The detection mechanism involves the catalytic conversion of NAD to NADH, facilitated by CbFDH in the presence of formate.

This study presents an innovative glucose detection platform, featuring a highly sensitive, non-enzymatic glucose sensor. The sensor integrates nickel nanowires and a graphene thin film deposited on the gate region of an extended-gate electric double-layer field-effect transistor (EGEDL-FET).
