The level of the human body's burden of benzophenone and camphor ultraviolet (UV) filters can be estimated from their urinary levels. The present study describes the implementations and validation of the sensitive analytical method for the analysis of seven benzophenone and two camphor UV filters in urine. Sample preparation includes overnight enzymatic hydrolysis and ethyl acetate extraction followed by purification by dispersive solid-phase extraction using a sorbent Z-Sep.

Concerns around sleep quality in hepatic GSDs relate to emerging evidence that overnight dysglycaemia impacts sleep quality.
Methods: This prospective observational study reported sleep quality and duration in children with hepatic GSDs over 7 days utilising: actigraphy (Actiwatch 2 by Phillips Respironics), sleep diaries, proxy reported age-appropriate sleep and quality-of-life (QoL) questionnaires, in the context of nocturnal glycaemic profiles continuous glucose monitor (CGM, Dexcom G6) and nocturnal dietary management strategies.

Background: Micronutrients such as vitamin B12 and D have recently gained attention for their potential roles in male reproductive health. Despite their significance, there's a critical gap in understanding their association with male infertility, particularly concerning suboptimal semen parameters. This study aimed to address this knowledge gap by examining serum vitamin B12 and D levels in infertile males, providing insights that could inform targeted interventions for couples facing male infertility challenges.

Background/objectives: After birth, mothers provide the best nutrition for the healthy growth and development of their infants and the developing gut microbiota through breastfeeding. When breastfeeding is not or insufficiently available, infant formula is the only safe alternative. The production of infant formula includes heat-processing, which may induce protein glycation.
