The World Health Organization recommended the global elimination of industrial trans fats by 2023, leading to a decrease in their use in packaged foods. Nevertheless, a gap remains in the scientific literature regarding the ingredients adopted as substitutes by the food industry. This study aimed to map evidence on substitutes for industrial trans fats in packaged foods, discussing their possible designation in the ingredients lists.

How infusion fluids are distributed and eliminated is of importance to how much and how fast they should be administered. This manuscript applies population pharmacokinetic modeling to intravenous infusions of crystalloid fluid, which is a common therapy in hospital care and mandatory during surgery. The analysis was based on the hemodilution and urine output measured during and after 262 infusions of 1647 ± 461 mL (mean ± SD) of fluid over 30 min in adults.

FD is responsible for yield losses and high production costs due to mandatory insecticide treatments, infected plant uprooting, and replanting. Another potential FD vector is the mosaic leafhopper, , commonly found in agroecosystems.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States and is associated with the development of genital warts, precancerous lesions, and cancers of the oropharynx, anus, penis, vulva, vagina, and cervix. HPV-associated diseases are preventable through vaccination. An Australian nationwide vaccination program will effectively eliminate cervical cancer as a public health concern by the year 2035.
