Scholars in medical anthropology note that, despite more than 25 years of anthropological studies on cancer, much of this scholarship remains marginal in mainstream public health approaches. This paper examines social practices, biases, and unnoticed assumptions in mainstream global health research culture that prevents anthropology from having a more influential role in cancer research and policy agendas. It focuses on the day-to-day, ordinary, micro academic practices in which differential power distribution exacerbates inequity within the field, ignoring the role played by approaches with disciplinarian, epistemological and geopolitical peripheries.

Purchasing and leasing are two main methods to implement equipment upgrades, which can reduce production costs and facilitate manufacturing transformation. In practice, small and medium-sized manufacturers have insufficient cash to balance equipment upgrades and daily production. Under a two-stage setting, this study examines a pull supply chain consisting of a capital-constrained manufacturer and a retailer, where the manufacturer can borrow bank loans.

In August 2019, a mass shooter in the United States posted a violent manifesto to the anonymous forum 8chan prior to his attack. This was the third such incident that year and afterwards hosting and security services conceded to calls to drop 8chan as a client, pushing 8chan to the margins of the accessible internet. This article examines the deplatforming of 8chan as a public relations crisis, contributing to understanding 'governance by shock' (Ananny and Gillespie 2016) by examining who is shocked and their power to turn shock into online regulation.
