Cardiac arrhythmias and sudden death are frequent in patients with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy and can precede heart failure or additional symptoms where malignant cardiac arrhythmias are mostly the consequence of advanced cardiomyopathy and heart failure. Finding these subgroups and making an early diagnosis could be lifesaving. In our retrospective study, we are presenting arrhythmic types of frequent cardiomyopathies where an arrhythmogenic substrate is less well defined, as in ischemic or structural heart disease.

Purpose: The triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) subtype, known to be aggressive with high recurrence and mortality rates, disproportionately affects African-Americans, young women, and BRCA1 carriers. TNBC does not respond to hormonal or biologic agents, limiting treatment options. The unique characteristics of the disease and the populations disproportionately affected indicate a need to examine the responses of this group.

GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) mediates cell-to-cell communication in eukaryotes and interspecies communication in host-microbe interactions. Agrobacterium tumefaciens induces the development of plant tumor in which GABA accumulates. Two periplasmic binding proteins Atu2422 and Atu4243 and their appropriate ABC-transporter are involved in the binding and importation of GABA.
