Objective: To observe the protective effects of total glycosides Rubus parviflolius (TGRP) on local cerebral ischemic.
Method: The local cerebral ischemia in rat was made by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MACO). The infraction weight was determined by TTC stain. SOD, MDA, GSH and apoptotis were determined with different method respectively.
Result: TGRP 20, 10 mg x kg(-1) ig markedly improved the abnormal nervous symptoms, incredsed the SOD, GSH activity and reduced contentes of MDA in brain of MACO rat, TGRP 20 mg x kg(-1) ig significantly decreased the numbers of apoptotic cells in ischemic cortex.
Conclusion: TGRP has protective effects against cerebral infraction, and its mechanism may be related to anti-apoptotis and free radical.

We investigate the electronic properties of nanoribbons made out of monolayer Lieb, transition, and kagome lattices using the tight-binding model with a generic Hamiltonian. It allows us to map the evolutionary stages of the interconvertibility process between Lieb and kagome nanoribbons by means of only one control parameter. Results for the energy spectra, the density of states, and spatial probability density distributions are discussed for nanoribbons with three types of edges: straight, bearded, and asymmetric.

High-energy extensions to general relativity modify the Einstein-Hilbert action with higher-order curvature corrections and theory-specific coupling constants. The order of these corrections imprints a universal curvature dependence on observations while the coupling constant controls the deviation strength. In this Letter, we leverage the theory-independent expectation that modifications to the action of a given order in spacetime curvature (Riemann tensor and contractions) lead to observational deviations that scale with the system length scale to a corresponding power.

Objective: Brainstem cavernous malformations (BSCMs) were once considered inoperable. Microsurgical resection now represents a valuable option for treating patients with hemorrhagic or symptomatic lesions. The aim of this study was to provide a practical guide for surgical planning by analyzing postoperative neurological and functional outcomes.

Forensic age estimation is performed by assessing pulp chamber constrictions due to physiological age-related changes in dental radiographs; however, the estimated ages occasionally deviate from the actual ages. In particular, long-term steroid users tend to demonstrate pulp chamber constrictions in all teeth. Because this is uncommon among younger age groups, caution should be exercised when evaluating pulp chamber constriction.

Importance: Limited data exist comparing total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) versus laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy (LSCH) at the time of minimally invasive sacrocolpopexy for uterovaginal prolapse.
Objectives: The objective of this study was to compare TLH versus LSCH at the time of minimally invasive sacrocolpopexy for uterovaginal prolapse, hypothesizing that LSCH would demonstrate a higher proportion of recurrent prolapse, but a lower proportion of mesh exposures.
Study Design: This was a retrospective, secondary analysis comparing a prospective cohort of patients undergoing TLH sacrocolpopexy versus a retrospective cohort of patients who had undergone LSCH sacrocolpopexy.
