Spinal manipulations have been shown to be efficient for common low back pain; they remain an option in the treatment of symptomatic lumbar disk herniation. From data in the literature, the author discusses the interest of spinal manipulations with a "thrust" at the level of disk herniation and concludes that this therapy, performed by an experienced physician and under conditions of strict application, could be an option in the treatment of subacute and chronique disc herniation.

Contusive and compressive spinal cord injury (SCI) induces pathological changes to spinal cord white matter (WM) including periaxonal swelling and resultant disruption of the axomyelinic interface, axonal swelling/spheroid formation, and secondary axonal transection. To further our knowledge of the role of vascular edema in these pathological changes to WM, we designed, and three-dimensional (3D) printed a dual-compartment imaging chamber separated by a semipermeable membrane to mimic and manipulate interstitial and vascular fluid compartments in real time. We hypothesized that hypertonic saline (HTS) applied to the "vascular" chamber would osmotically shift fluid out of the periaxonal space and preserve myelinated fibers after SCI.

Axolotls are amphibian models for studying nervous system evolution, development, and regeneration. Tools to visualize and manipulate cells of the axolotl nervous system with high-efficiency, spatial and temporal precision are therefore greatly required. The purpose of this case series was to describe a multimodal chiropractic treatment approach to address medial elbow injuries in amateur/elite javelin throwers.
Case Descriptions: Five javelin throwers (3 Males & 2 Females) aged 15-24 years presented to two chiropractic clinics with signs/symptoms including pain, instability, postural dysfunction, and dysfunctional range of motion of the glenohumeral and elbow joints.
