Accurate measurements of the diffusion coefficients, including an estimate of uncertainty, of various solvent molecules using the PFG-NMR method were performed in this study. Accurate diffusion coefficients were obtained using the Shigemi NMR tube. The relative combined standard uncertainties of the diffusion coefficients were found to be within approximately 0.4%. The three uncertainty sources (signal decay of the standard and the solvent, and diffusion coefficient of standard) equally affect the combined standard uncertainties. Unreliable data were obtained using a normal NMR tube, indicating that convection and background gradient effects significantly affected the accurate measurement of the diffusion coefficients.

Objectives: To characterize the radiological findings of desmoid-type fibromatosis (DF).
Methods: This two-institution retrospective study included 152 patients with pathologically confirmed DF who underwent computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography (FDG-PET)/CT between January 2001 and February 2024. Two board-certified radiologists independently evaluated the CT, MRI, and FDG-PET/CT findings, and a third board-certified radiologist resolved discrepancies.

Ionic liquids are nowadays investigated with respect to their use as electrolytes for high-performance energy storage materials. In this study, we provide a tutorial on how to calculate dynamic properties such as self-diffusion coefficients, ionic conductivities, transference numbers, as well as ion pair and ion cage dynamics, that all play a role in judging the applicability of ionic liquids as electrolytes. For the case of the ionic liquid \ce{[C2C1Im][NTf2]}, we investigate the performance of different force fields.

Since its inception in 2014, Cyrene has emerged as a promising biobased solvent derived from renewable cellulose waste, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional toxic solvents. However, experimental data on its thermodynamic and transport properties remain scarce. This study addresses this critical gap by employing state-of-the-art molecular dynamics simulations.

Humboldt squid (Dosidicus gigas) is the most abundant cephalopod in the fishing industry, and its high nutritional and organoleptic properties make it a go-to food product for consumers. Therefore, developing new processing techniques seems imperative to minimize quality deterioration and provide products with appropriate characteristics. The study aimed to determine the effect of high-pressure impregnation (HPI) pretreatment on hot air-drying kinetics and the quality of Humboldt squid slices.

Brazilian soils have distinctive characteristics to European and North American soils which are typically used to investigate pesticide fate. This study aimed to compare soil-water partition coefficient (K), reversibility of adsorption and degradation half-life (DT) of 5 pesticides covering a wide range of physico-chemical properties in contrasting Brazilian soils (Argissolo, Gleissolo, Latossolo and Neossolo) and a temperate (UK) alfisol soil, and to study their relationship with soil OM, clay and expandable clay content, CEC and pH. In addition, we used a novel laboratory test to evaluate sorption reversibility, the 3-Phase Assay (3PA).
