[Intratympanic dexamethasone for sudden sensorineural hearing loss].

Objective: To report the effect of intratympanic dexamethasone (ITD) on sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL).

Method: The effect of ITD on a case with bilateral SSNHL was presented and the relevant literature was reviewed.

Result: The patient's hearing was improved more than 40 dB in both ears.

Conclusion: TID is effective and helpful for SSNHL.
