The work is supposed to estimate intoxication by summary indices of the medium and low mass molecules and oligopeptides in plasma, erythrocytes and urine. The indices developed made it possible to determine the stage of endogenous intoxication and to choose differentially the optimal methods of efferent therapy or a combination of methods.

In contrast to blood-oxygenation level-dependent (BOLD) functional MRI (fMRI), which relies on changes in blood flow and oxygenation levels to infer brain activity, diffusion fMRI (DfMRI) investigates brain dynamics by monitoring alterations in the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of water. These ADC changes may arise from fluctuations in neuronal morphology, providing a distinctive perspective on neural activity. The potential of ADC as an fMRI contrast (ADC-fMRI) lies in its capacity to reveal neural activity independently of neurovascular coupling, thus yielding complementary insights into brain function.

Objective: Surgeons routinely check the pupils to assess, in part, the brain stem function and the neural integrity of the visual system. Where a relative afferent pupillary defect is difficult to notice during surgery, an efferent pupillary defect or mydriasis is clearly recognizable. Visual loss in orbital surgery is attributed to compromised perfusion of the optic nerve, retina, or choroid, but an association with mydriasis is generally not assumed.

Biological neural systems seamlessly integrate perception and action, a feat not efficiently replicated in current physically separated designs of neural-imitating electronics. This segregation hinders coordination and functionality within the neuromorphic system. Here, we present a flexible device tailored for neuromorphic computation and muscle actuation.

Background: Patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) experience difficulties in understanding speech in noise despite having normal hearing.
Aim: This study aimed to determine the relationship between speech discrimination in noise (SDN) and medial olivocochlear reflex levels and to compare MS patients with a control group.
Material And Methods: Sixty participants with normal hearing, comprising 30 MS patients and 30 healthy controls, were included.

The current study aimed to propose a method to directly measure right cervical vagal nerve activity (cVNA) alongside renal sympathetic nerve activity (RSNA) in conscious rats. The right cervical vagus nerve was surgically exposed and fitted with a bipolar electrode to record cVNA. A microcatheter was used to administer levobupivacaine to selectively block afferent cVNA.
