Introduction: Despite the global prevalence of low fertility rates, male contributions to fertility and reproductive health outcomes have been understudied. This study aims to investigate the male contribution to fertility and explore the underlying biological mechanisms. Specifically, we aim to (1) identify male factors associated with successful pregnancy, (2) develop a fertility index incorporating modifiable factors for both males and females to predict pregnancy rate and (3) explore the relationship of male modifiable factors with semen parameters and molecular characteristics.

Background: Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols aim to improve surgical patient outcomes, although their effectiveness may vary. This study assessed the impact of multi-institutional ERAS implementation on postoperative morbidity in patients undergoing elective colorectal surgery.
Study Design: We conducted a multicenter retrospective cohort study using the American College of Surgeons NSQIP database from 2012 to 2020.

This position stand is intended to provide a scientific foundation for athletes, dietitians, trainers, and other practitioners regarding the effects of supplemental ω-3 PUFA in healthy and athletic populations. The following conclusions represent the official position of the ISSN: Athletes may be at a higher risk for ω-3 PUFA insufficiency.
