Introduction: Among techniques for short spermatic vessels in nonpalpable undescended testis (UDT), the Fowler-Stephens (F-S) procedure is the most favored. However, traction methods have regained popularity with gradual testicular tension for elongation to avoid ligating the spermatic vessels.
Objective: To compare two techniques for low intra-abdominal UDT with a short spermatic cord: staged laparoscopic F-S and a modified staged open traction technique, and to determine if long-practicing surgeons should change their preferred method.

Diabetic foot ulcers with or without concomitant chronic limb-threatening ischemia put patients at exceedingly high risk of limb loss and death. The toe & flow model is a multidisciplinary team-based model captained by a podiatrist or orthopedic foot and ankle specialist and a vascular specialist, which streamlines treatment for patients with diabetic foot ulcer and chronic limb-threatening ischemia. This model creates a functional ecosystem around it by integrating other medical professionals and community partners.

Setting: The federal health portfolio has had a risk communications framework in place since 2006; however, the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the capacity of this plan and the need for communications resources to new levels. Health communicators in the public service face significant challenges: a fragmented mediascape, changes to how people seek and use information, the proliferation of misinformation and disinformation, declining trust in public institutions, and the politicization of science, to name just a few. It has never been more important for health authorities to communicate clearly, consistently, effectively, and from an evidence-based position.
