Objective: To explore the characteristic and management of Wegener's granulomatosis in head and neck.
Method: Forty-two cases with Wegener's granulomatosis were retrospectively analyzed clinical characteristics, head and neck manifestations, biopsy, ANCA test, and management were respectively recorded. Cyclophosphamide and Prednisone are the mainstay of medical therapy.
Result: All cases presented with multiple organ systems involvement. Nasal involvement occurred most in head and neck, the occurred rate was 81.0%, the rate of first-occurred signs and symptoms was 47.6%. The diagnosis rate by biopsy was 67.6%. The total positive rate of ANCA test was 97.4%.
Conclusion: Head and neck involvement in Wegener's granulomatosis is most common and complicated. ANCA test and biopsy are the most main means in the diagnosis of Wegener's granulomatosis. Medical therapy is the mainstay of treatment in Wegener's granulomatosis, whereas surgery is reserved for selected head and neck manifestations.

Objective: This study investigated the effects of early treatment and pathophysiology on eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis neuropathy (EGPA-N).
Methods: Twenty-six consecutive patients with EGPA-N were diagnosed and treated within a day of admission and underwent clinical analysis. Peripheral nerve recovery rates were evaluated after early treatment by identifying the damaged peripheral nerve through detailed neurological findings.

We report the case of a 75-year-old woman who presented with fever, right back pain, paresthesia in the right extremities, erythema, purpura, and nodules. She had previously initiated dialysis due to rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis and was transferred to our hospital. Imaging studies revealed multiple cerebral and splenic infarcts and hemorrhage encapsulating the right kidney, likely due to microaneurysms in multiple renal arteries.

Purpose Of Review: Eosinophilic myocarditis (EM) is a rare and heterogeneous form of inflammatory heart disease that can present with a wide range of severity. Current literature is limited to case reports or small case series that outline the evaluation process, disease course, and the nonstandardized treatments trialed. This review aims to concisely summarize the current literature on EM including an update on maintenance therapy for refractory or recurrent disease.

Background/aim: Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a multisystemic disease associated with nasal polyposis. Multiple biologics are used for managing EGPA, including some approved for nasal polyps (NP). This study investigated real-world biologic prescription patterns for EGPA and their impact on NP and endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) use.
