Background: There is still a significant proportion of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in whom multiple therapeutic lines are ineffective. These cases are defined by the EULAR criteria as Difficult-to-Treat RA (D2T-RA) for which there is limited knowledge of predisposing factors.
Objective: To identify the clinical features associated with D2T-RA in real-life practice.

Macrocycles are abundantly used by nature to enable cell-permeable bioactive molecules. Synthetic non-peptidic macrocycles are also increasingly considered as modalities for difficult-to-bind proteins but guidelines for macrocyclization are only beginning to emerge. Macrocycles are thought to constrain the available conformations but also to allow for residual flexibility, the latter being poorly understood.

Citrus juices represent a nutrient-dense beverage due to the remarkable balance in their bioactive compounds (vitamins, minerals, dietary fibers, and phytochemicals such as flavonoids and carotenoids). This review aims to examine the nutritional quality and the health benefits of citrus juice consumption linked to the world diversity of citrus fruits. This work provides heterogenous data found on the main citrus bioactive compounds, especially carotenoids and flavonoids, which are difficult to correlate to particular geographic areas.
