The authors propose the conservative treatment of ischemic colitis using slow-release mesalazine and enema. The excellent tolerability of the treatment and the good level of therapeutic efficacy was confirmed in 13 cases treated without signs of recurrence of disease.

Acute pancreatitis is a common gastrointestinal disease leading to hospitalisation. Recent advancements in its management have primarily focussed on the development of early phase medical interventions targeting inflammatory pathways, optimisation of supportive treatment (including fluid resuscitation, pain management and nutritional management), appropriate use of antibiotics, implementation of minimally invasive interventions for infected necrosis, and the necessity of follow-up for long-term complications. These advancements have significantly improved personalised management and overall outcomes of acute pancreatitis.

This case concerns a boy presenting with oral pain and multiple mucocutaneous lesions such as mucositis, conjunctivitis, and a rash on the trunk, extremities, and genitalia. The presence of mild respiratory complaints raised suspicion of an extrapulmonary manifestation of , known as -induced Rash and Mucositis (MIRM). Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the data of patients diagnosed with spontaneous pyogenic SEA in the thoracolumbosacral area who presented with sciatica and no motor deficits in the lower extremities. The treatment took place in a single tertiary hospital.

Delayed subaponeurotic fluid collection (DSFC) is an uncommon condition that causes scalp swelling in infants, usually appearing within the first weeks to months of life. Although the precise etiology is unclear, DSFC is frequently associated with instrumental or traumatic deliveries. We report two cases of DSFC: a 12-week-old boy and a six-week-old girl, both presenting with progressive, fluctuant scalp swelling without any history of trauma.
