Introduction: The objective of this study was to determine the content of fluorides and magnesium in permanent teeth of children and adolescents with constitutional delay of growth and development (CDGD) and to correlate the findings with susceptibility to caries.
Material And Methods: Our study group consisting of 20 patients with CDGD, aged 11 to 20 years, was compared with an age-matched control group of 20 normal subjects. Dentition status was assessed according to the average DMFs score. Acid biopsy of enamel on the labial surface of incisors was done to measure the content of calcium, magnesium, and fluorides. CDGD patients demonstrated a higher average DFs value and less permanent teeth than their normal counterparts.
Results: Microanalyses of enamel showed that the depth of the acid biopsy was similar in all subjects. The content of fluorides and magnesium in enamel was lower in patients with CDGD.

Background: Primary Sjögren Syndrome (pSS) is an autoimmune disease that usually affects salivary glands. Research about the impact of oral health in quality of life of patients with pSS is scarce.
Objectives: to describe the characteristics of oral involvement in patients with pSS; To assess quality of life related to oral health (QOL-OH); to determine association between QOL-OH and saliva production, disease activity, and damage.

Background: Transverse maxillary deficiency is a relatively common type of malocclusion, that if left untreated will probably affect the permanent dentition. Recent investigations have proposed the use of bone-supported miniscrews around the midpalatal suture to expand the palate in late adolescents. The aim of this systematic review was to assess the efficacy of the Miniscrew Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (MARPE) technique in young adult patients, by quantifying skeletal expansion in relation to the age of the patient, as well as the impact upon other craniofacial sutures, and to describe the possible dental side effects.

: Chemotherapy (CMT) in children can disrupt dental development and calcification, causing long-term dental issues, but good dental care and habits can help improve quality of life. This case report examines permanent dental disturbances in a 7-year, 4-month-old girl undergoing CMT, explores the histology of microdontia, and outlines an oral treatment plan for CMT management. : Clinical examination revealed microdontia and a groove crossing the cervical area (chronological hypoplasia), which were assessed using panoramic radiographs and histological analysis.

Molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is a developmental defect that affects the enamel tissue of permanent teeth. Clinicians may observe a range of opacities in the affected teeth, varying from white to creamy, yellow, and brown. Of particular interest is an etiology of MIH that has not been rigorously elucidated.
