Purposes: Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and plasma cell-type idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (PC-iMCD) have many overlapping features. Their differential diagnosis is challenging and crucial for clinical management due to their different prognoses and treatments. However, reports that compare these conditions are scarce, especially for patients with lung involvement.

Purpose: Protein supplementation has been proposed as an effective dietary strategy for maintaining or increasing skeletal muscle mass and improving physical performance in middle-aged and older adults. Diabetes mellitus exacerbates muscle mass loss, leading to many older adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) experiencing sarcopenia, and vice versa. Our objective was to assess the impact of increased dietary protein intake on muscle mass, strength, physical performance, and the progression of T2DM in middle-aged and older adults diagnosed with this condition.

Objective: This study systematically assesses the learning curve of Unilateral Biportal Endoscopic (UBE) techniques across various spinal surgeries, focusing on its influence on operative efficiency and complication rates to guide optimized training and practice.
Methods: Systematic searches in PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Scopus, and Cochrane Library identified studies on UBE learning curves for patients aged 18 or older, comparing early and mastery phases. Two reviewers independently extracted data on surgery type, operative time, and complications.

Background: The recent approval of two anti-amyloid antibodies, Aducanamab and Lecanamab, have set the stage for the next generation of anti-amyloid treatments. Despite the capability of these treatments to lower Aβ brain levels, there is thus far limited clinical efficacy on cognitive outcomes. Because eligibility for treatment includes individuals with MCI or mild dementia, that often harbor mixed pathologies, the cognitive impact of other brain pathologies may be important.

Background: Grid cells are spatially modulated cells in the entorhinal cortex (EC) that fire in a hexagonally patterned grid which tiles the environment. These cells are assumed important in human spatial navigation. The EC is vulnerable to neurodegenerative processes in both normal aging and Alzheimer's disease and decline in grid cell function may be a key factor in understanding age-related navigational decline.
