Although herbal remedies are marketed as natural products, they can be associated with severe adverse effects. We report a case of multi-organ toxicity including acute renal failure due to rhabdomyolysis, acute hepatitis-like hepatotoxicity, and cardiotoxicity accompanied by angio-edema in a Turkish male patient after ingestion of mixed Chinese herbs. Hypersensitivity reactions may be a possible mechanism of pathogenesis in multi-organ toxicity associated with phytotherapy.

Toxic shock syndrome secondary to Group A infection is a rare but serious cause of women's morbidity and mortality which can easily be misdiagnosed. A 37-year-old woman presented to the emergency department in a state of shock after a two-day history of abdominal pain, fever, diarrhoea and green vaginal discharge. Following extensive investigations, she was proved to have septic shock secondary to Group A Despite receiving intravenous antibiotics, she required explorative laparotomy, which proceeded to subtotal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy.

Opioids have been the primary method used to manage pain for hundreds of years, however the increasing prescription rate of these drugs in the modern world has led to a public health crisis of overdose related deaths. Naloxone is the current standard treatment for opioid overdose rescue, but it has not been fully investigated for potential off-target toxicity effects. The current methods for pharmaceutical development do not correlate well with pre-clinical animal studies compared to clinical results, creating a need for improved methods for therapeutic evaluation.

Enteral administration of vancomycin is the standard treatment for () colitis and is presumed to have no systemic absorption. In critically ill patients, however, especially with multi-organ failure, enteral absorption of vancomycin is unpredictable and can cause severe toxicity if it remains unrecognized. We therefore report a case of systemic absorption of enteric vancomycin in a patient with severe colitis.

Introduction: In the environment, mycotoxins and fungicides frequently coexist, potentially causing synergistic risks to organisms. Epoxiconazole (EPO) and aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) are a common fungicide and mycotoxins, respectively, which are widely present in the environment and have toxic effects on multiple organs once entering the organism, but it is still unclear whether the co-exposure has a synergistic toxic effect.
Objectives: This study delves into the molecular mechanisms underlying the co-exposure to EPO and AFB1, emphasizing multi-organ toxicity in female zebrafish (F0 generation) and potential transgenerational impacts on the offspring embryos (F1 generation) through multi-omics approaches.

Unlabelled: Sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (SOS) is a distinctive and potentially fatal form of hepatic injury that mainly occurs after hematopoietic-stem cell transplantation but also due to many other conditions including drug or toxin exposure. Recently, immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionised the treatment of many solid organ malignancies. Furthermore, as their use has become more widespread, rare toxicities have emerged.
