An HPLC method for the chiral analysis of the four regioisomeric epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) is described. The cytochrome P450 arachidonic acid epoxygenase metabolites are resolved, without the need for derivatization, by chiral-phase HPLC on a Chiralcel OJ column. Application of this methodology to the analysis of the liver endogenous EETs demonstrates stereospecific biosynthesis and corroborates the role of cytochrome P450 as the endogenous arachidonic acid epoxygenase.

Ethnopharmacological Importance: Zhili decoction (ZLD) is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription for ulcerative colitis (UC). However, the mechanism by which ZLD exerts its therapeutic effects in the context of UC remains unclear.
Aim Of Study: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of ZLD on the gut microbiota and related fecal metabolite levels using a mouse model of UC.
Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) including omega-3 and omega-6 are obtained from diet and can be measured objectively in plasma or red blood cells (RBCs) membrane biomarkers, representing different dietary exposure windows. conversion of omega-3 and omega-6 PUFAs from short-to long-chain counterparts occurs via a shared metabolic pathway involving fatty acid desaturases and elongase. This analysis leveraged genome-wide association study (GWAS) summary statistics for RBC and plasma PUFAs, along with expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) to estimate tissue-specific genetically predicted gene expression effects for delta-5 desaturase ( ), delta-6 desaturase ( ), and elongase ( ) on changes in RBC and plasma biomarkers.

Background: Drug resistance and immune escape continue to contribute to poor prognosis in AML. Increasing evidence suggests that exosomes play a crucial role in AML immune microenvironment.
Methods: Sanger sequencing, RNase R and fluorescence in situ hybridization were performed to confirm the existence of circ_0006896.

Background: Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) is intricately linked to metabolic dysregulation at the maternal-fetal interface during early gestation. Abnormal levels of essential fatty acids and downstream oxylipins in decidua and chorionic villi have been identified as potential risk factors for RSA. Oxylipins have been linked to excessive inflammation, which might disrupt maternal-fetal immune tolerance, potentially contributing to RSA.
