INTRODUCTION : Residual colorectal neoplasia (RCN) after previous endoscopic mucosal resection is a frequent challenge. Different management techniques are feasible including endoscopic full-thickness resection using the full-thickness resection device (FTRD) system and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). We aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of these two techniques for the treatment of such lesions.

Background: Bile acid diarrhoea is a common but overlooked cause of chronic watery diarrhoea. Plasma 7α-hydroxy-4-cholesten-3-one (C4) is an alternative to the gold standard tauroselcholic [Se] acid (SeHCAT) test. Low-certainty evidence supports sequestrant treatment, including colesevelam.

The 25th United European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW), the largest European conference centered on diseases of the stomach, bowel, esophagus, liver, pancreas and gallbladder, was held in Barcelona, Spain. This 5-day meeting attracted over 13,000 delegates to share recent research in the treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. The conference provided teaching material, workshops and live sessions to all the attendants.
